Oh, What A Spectacle!

Dryer Free

So we did it! On Monday we returned our dryer to Rent A Center. Too bad we can't get our money back. But, in an effort to save money and be more self suffecient we have become dryer free. We have a rortary clothesline in the backyard. Since it was raining yesterday and today a bit I hung some clothes on the shower rod and got a small drying rack. Our gas bill will be dropping! I am looking into a few more different indoor racks. I like to having shirts, skirts and dresses to dry inside. Black clothes fade less inside as well.  But, this will asll do for now.

Relaxing Sunday

Since we have had some rain there has been a lot of weeds. So I pulled some weeds and worked on the backyard yesterday. I love being outside, even with a slight chill outside. My barefeet walked all over the backyard yesterday. The lavender and Mexican sage were watered, strawberries were potted and life is coming back into the yard again. Clothes hung from our rotary clothesline as did bed sheets. The plan is to give up a dryer, permanently by this weekend.

In the works for the yard are rows of corn and an area for hens.
