Oh, What A Spectacle!

Got to say it has been good. When with my mom and brother for a mothers day brunch. It was nice and ran into some old friends from school.
Came home and relaxed. The kids found a lizard skin out back. Waylon took the most interest in it. He knew it was shed because the lizard grew to big for the skin.

 

It always amazes me what kids know. They learn and discover so many things and I am here to help them along the journey. The journey so far has been really amazing.

Ah Life

Getting the house ready for summer....spring has been nice. I have mason jars with roses in two rooms and am loving that I get them from my own yard. Kids are enjoying being outside in the pool and the garden. Waylon frequently lounges in the papasan looking at books or playing on daddy's iPhone. The corn is over 6 inches tall now and the onions are coming a long well.

We are looking into getting another gazebo so we can put the dining table outside. I love eating outside in the warm weather. It's so nice.

The kids have been enjoying the K'nex and Lincoln Logs I found at the Goodwill Store this week. Joaquin especially loves the K'nex. I think I am gonna search then out in thrift stores and Craigslist.

Looking forward to visiting some missions this summer.

Day 6: A picture of something that makes you happy

 

This was several years ago. Maggie was 3 and Stephanie was 15. It was I have to say without a doubt, an amazing summer. We had so much fun, back then there was no Hezzie. Stephanie came for the summer have several years of not coming. Jimmy was elated and spirits were high. We went to the beach, camped outside, made s'mores and had fried bologna with our eggs at breakfast. We made bread, had Bible Study in our apartment....I did not want it to end. This was the last time we saw Stephanie. This was a picture I took because, I felt I may never have the same opportunity. This is Jimmy and his daughters...beautiful daughters. This picture makes me happy on so many levels. I look forward to the day when we may have another one.

Day 4 Your parents:

Yesterday was Ressurection Sunday, so I skipped blogging. But, you know I also just did not want to write about my parents right now. Everything seems so strained with both my mom and my dad. As a 34 almost 35 year old woman I am made to feel like a 12 year old child.

My dad has me so mad right now. So very mad!

My mom stresses me out.

I can't wait to move to Austin.

Weekend Wrap Up

Birthday Party for a cousin

Unicorns were in high demand.

...as were sharks.

It was almost like they had always been friends.

 

There was also mad amount of thrift shopping this weekend. There was lots of planting of edibles. Sunday was so amazing. I took Maggie with me to go and visit my friend Tanni, we had not seen each other in 19 years. It was like there was never gap in our being together. When I was in 10th grade, she was my best friend. She was an amazing non-judgemental feminist hippie. Oh wait...she still is. Never in my life have I had such an amazing girl friend. I am beyond ecstatic that we have connected again.  We will hang out again this week before she is Austin bound.

Life is good.

I really need to find my iPhone. I am s lost without it. Yesterday evening I was in tears. So dramatic and uncalled for.  But, I have a friend number who is in recovery that I need to visit on Saturday. Then I cried and got mad because someone ate half of my burrito. Not sure what is up with all the tears and emotions. Maybe my "old" age or the fact that sometimes stress creeps in and devours my very soul. In the end I went to the garden, connected with God and Nature....came home to a VERY clean home thanks to Jimmy.

So this weekend I am considering simplifying a lot. Time to gt rid of the dryer and maybe a TV. I want to connect more with the family. I am also considering getting rid of cable (now that Big Love is over) and going back to the antennae. All things to discuss with Jimmy.

Dear Lord where has the time gone? Her she is my 7lb 1 oz baby girl...okay I know she is almost seven now. She seems so much older some days and some days, I still see that chubby cheeked baby girl. She is amazing in so many ways. The artist in her is always out, drawing, painting and more. She is kind of nerdy and watches Anime daily and even pretends she is some character from one of the shows. Now she has her brothers playing along.

As you can see she has her very own style and loves layers. Which because, like Shrek she has layers. She can be sweet and nurturing, she can be feisty and mean. No matter how she is I love her all the same. Before you ask, yes I would allow her to leave the house like that...that is who she is. Then again I leave the house barefoot all the time.

Sometimes I wish I could get into her dreams. I bet they are vivid and colorful.....I love my little girl.

long day and too many thoughts

so today i went to a funeral. my second cousin and graduating classmate Lisa passed away. it just bring so much to consider. what if i pass away after jimmy and we still have young children? children in the home who will need love and guidance. realistically i know that nobody i know will parent how we do. the kids will be forced into public school, a few may be medicated, they will be vaccinated and told not to speak their mind. this really freaks me out.

i have an underlying fear and what feels like knowledge that jimmy will pass before he is 45. that is only ten years from now. hezzie will be 12, waylon will be 14, maggie will be 16 (oh dear lord), joaquin and dexter will be of age.  in no way am i saying he will pass at that age, it just seems that way. the gift of knowing is not be gift. it's just this feeling i have been getting and he said he has the same feeling.

our families are just so different and we have lived so outside the box for so long. a decision that came gradually but, that fits us and the kids so well, that anything else seems frightening to me, for them. i have no life insurance, a will and a capable person or family member. well, okay a willing family member. it's hard enough to get someone to watch them let alone raise them. i don't regret having five amazing self thinkers. not for  a bit, i just now need to figure it all out. separation from one another would just kill them.
