The kids got some books today from Tita and Uncle Tony. I opened the box thinking the books were wrapped....silly me. So these are the first gifts they have recieved and are VERY happy.

"So please, oh PLEASE, we beg, we pray, Go throw your TV set away, And in its place you can install, A lovely bookshelf on the wall."

ADORABLE!!! Is this a day for books, or what? Actually, the only book I've received so far this Xmas is the Mennonite Community Cookbook, which is rad not so much because of the recipes but rather because it was a gift from my partner's mom, and pretty much symbolizes her acceptance of me as family... Yay! Your photos are lovely, as are your kids :)

It must be a day for books. That book must mean so much. How awesome is that for you?! I have not received gifts from my inlaws in over a decade. It was used perfume I was allergic to, and I don't wear anything except oils...patchouli, sandalwood. But, such is life and I am so happy for you!
