Oh, What A Spectacle!

Turkey Noodle Soup Day

Yesterday was turkey noodle soup day. I felt like I was going crazy so I went to the Dollar Tree. What was really happening is I was getting sick. That is never good. When I am in this state I am not pleasant or graceful at all. All I really want is quiet, hot tea, hot dr. pepper w/ lemon, a warm bed and Hallmark Movies. With five kids who are unschooled, this rarely happens.

I just hope that this cold does not go around to the kids. Joaquin already woke up at 2 a.m. with a raging ear infection and there are a few coughs going on. Lots of prayers and higs need to go on here this week.

Once Christmas Eve comes I will make a video of how the home is decorated. I usually decorate up until then adding bits and peices. Once, this season is over I will start decorating this house more for every day use. Although, there is a part of me that loves seasonal decorating.  Call me crazy, it's just me.

Maybe one day I will have enough "junk" tp pull from to make this happen. Lately, I have been dreaming of having my own spot in a antique/consignment store. That would amazing. It could be a creative outlet and I could take tons of pictures.

I made a couple cake/snack stands yesterday. I will get some better pictures and post them later. Soon I will be hunting for vintage plates, bowls and cups to make some real pretty ones. Maybe do a craft fair next year. We shall see. Another fun idea for a creative outlet.

Well that is all....I need some turkey noodle soup now.

Catching Up

Been busy. Thanksgiving, my laptop had a bad memory stick and going out with five kids and two other adults. AHHH! We have started our Christmas decorating and making a small list of what we want to give for gifts this year. I love this time of year. There have been a few bumps with things as of late. I talked with Jimmy and think that they will be smoothed out.

Unschooling is going well I think. Sometimes, I need some motivation and encouragement...so I go on YouTube. Check this out!

My youngest two, Waylon and Hezzie are playing together more. I think Hezzie is getting into playing more...I am pleased. So today I snapped a few photos to see what I could get...here they are.

Out on the town..

My friend Amanda and I went out last night. I have been friends with her since the summer of my 14th year. So yes, readers her and I have been friends for 20 wonderful years. There were a few time we lost touch but, we have never had a falling out.

We went to the Mission Tobacco Lounge and saw a blues band. We had fun and some laughs. It was a great place and I can not wait to go again, and maybe dance a little next time. I do love to dance.

This is my lovely friend Amanda and her drink. She was pretty happy after a few sips. After this drink she had iced tea with lemon...she drove.

The past two days have been full of blessings. Yesterday my friend Amanda came and brought veggie lasagna and garlic bread for lunch. While she was here I got a package from my friend Jenn in San Jose full of lovly clothes and hair flowers. Today, my friend Christina brought by a bunch of stuff she was cleaning out, lots of toys. Life is full of blessings. Here are some photos.
